Board authorizes amendment to Stonebrook engineering contract for Dakota Rail construction support

The board approved Amendment No. 1 to Stonebrook's professional services agreement to continue design and provide construction inspection support for Dakota Rail Regional Trail bridge work.
County staff told the board that Stonebrook has been the design consultant for the Dakota Rail Regional Trail project and that Amendment No. 1 would enable the firm to provide construction inspection and support during the build phase. "They're gonna support the project in terms of inspection as well," staff said when describing the amendment.
A motion to authorize the amendment was moved and seconded and carried by voice vote. The board approved continuing Stonebrook's role so the county can leverage the consultant’s design knowledge during construction; the contract amendment will proceed subject to the usual contract review and execution steps.
