Commissioner Jason Shanks presented a proposal from Kuhn Mechanical Inc. to provide scheduled preventive maintenance for the courthouse HVAC systems, describing a bimonthly maintenance schedule and a monthly billed cost of $3,280.00. Shanks said courthouse maintenance staff cannot access the roof and noted the contractor would service multiple system types, including units requiring computer diagnostics. Commissioners Jeff Kreger and Shane Jones supported contracting the work due to system complexity.
The BOCC approved the Kuhn Mechanical maintenance agreement (motion by Shanks, second by Jones; carried unanimously). Commissioner Shanks later reported that air filters are included in the maintenance package. District Attorney Brian Hermanson approved the contract as to form per the minutes; supporting documents are available in the County Clerk’s Office.
