The Tinmouth Equity & Inclusion Committee voted to revisit its mission statement and consider training options from regional organizations (for example, training offered by neighboring town committees and the Vermont Community Foundation).
The chair urged members to identify where the committee is "hitting the mark, and where aren't we hitting the mark so far," and suggested sending links to available trainings for committee review. A committee member proposed piloting a monthly question the town could send to schools so students could discuss community topics and provide feedback to the committee.
Members agreed that training should be open to other town committees and that revision of directives could be paired with training to help the committee focus its scope and achievable actions.
