Resident asks board to fix meeting audio, urges speakers to use front microphone

"I would I'm requesting that you have a chair in the front so when people speak, they sit in the chair, and those of us that are online can hear them," Sherry said during the public‑comment portion. Board members agreed that the audio at a recent community fund meeting had been "horrible" and that positioning speakers by the room microphone (referred to in the meeting as the 'owl') would help remote participants.
The board noted that both the upcoming community fund meeting and the June 19 joint meeting with the planning commission will be held at the old firehouse, where audio quality can be inconsistent. Members asked staff to make a plan so presenters and public commenters are positioned to be heard by the room system and remote listeners. The board did not take a formal vote; the request was logged for implementation ahead of the June 19 meeting.
