State’s HR 1 award aims to expand rural crisis services; Spokane region evaluates mobile crisis readiness

Spokane’s BHASO and crisis providers are evaluating where mobile crisis expansion is feasible; Ashley said the region is initially focusing on New Alliance Behavioral Health (Stevens, Ferry, Lincoln counties) and Pend Oreille County Counseling, while Adams County has recently expanded capacity. The regional team will continue planning with the state and anticipates more formal plans by October–November ahead of the federal fiscal year.
