The Oneida County Planning & Development Committee on July 8, 2026 approved a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for Chris and Bobbi Jones to operate a bar service business within an existing structure at Lot 3, CSM 3366 (PIN LY-739-2), 5030 Willow Road in the Town of Lynne. Staff read the public notice record (published June 23 and 30, 2026; posted at the courthouse June 18) and recommended eight conditions for permit issuance.
Conditions approved with the CUP require that the nature and extent of the use not change from the application, that the project be substantially commenced within three years of issuance, and that operations be subject to Oneida County Health Department approvals. Other conditions include compliance with Oneida County sign regulations (Chapter 9.78), off-street parking rules (Chapter 9.77), screened dumpsters and recycling, downcast exterior lighting if installed, and hours of operation six days per week from 10:00 a.m. to allowable tavern service hours under Wis. Stat. §125.32 with outdoor music ending at 10:00 p.m.
The public portion of the hearing included a comment from Brian Hahn. Following staff discussion, the committee adjusted a days/hours motion (mover: Billy Fried; second: Dan Hess) and then voted to approve the CUP with the eight listed conditions (mover: Bob Almekinder; second: Dan Hess). All members present voted aye.
