The Floyd County Board of Supervisors noted that Denny Begemann will retire effective Feb. 27, 2026 and acknowledged receipt of the FY25 County Social Services Audit Report. Chair Gloria Carr and other supervisors listed future agenda items including a Medical Examiner appointment, a Master Matrix hearing and discussion of a potential battery energy storage moratorium.
The board recessed at 10:15 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The afternoon schedule included FY27 budget reviews for the Auditor’s office, Communications and the Medical Examiner. The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn (Campbell/Rottinghaus) which carried 3-0.
