Palo Alto County approves salary increases for supervisors and several elected officials effective July 1, 2026

On March 17 the Palo Alto County Board approved several salary adjustments to take effect July 1, 2026. The board approved a 3% increase for county supervisors, setting the supervisor salary at $35,100 effective July 1; the motion passed with Chair Linus Solberg recorded as voting nay on that item.
The Board also approved a 3% increase for the County Auditor, County Treasurer, County Recorder and County Attorney, setting the Auditor/Treasurer/Recorder at $77,424 and County Attorney at $111,434 effective July 1, 2026. Separately, the Board approved a 4% increase for the County Sheriff, raising the sheriff's salary to $103,779 effective July 1. The motions were recorded as carried in the minutes.
