O'Brien County supervisors announce 2025 committee and board assignments
Summary
At the Jan. 2 organizational meeting, supervisors were assigned to county and regional committees for 2025, including HUD housing, ARPA oversight, EMA, EMS advisory, landfill, and regional planning bodies.
The board recorded committee and external board assignments for each supervisor for 2025. Nancy McDowell was assigned 3rd Judicial District, Cherokee MHI Advisory, Housing Authority (HUD), Tourism and YES Center. Jim Thomas received assignments including 911, County Farm, EMA, Hazmat, and REAP. Barbara Rohwer's assignments include ARPA, EMS Advisory, Health Insurance, and NW Planning. Dennis Vanden Hull was assigned Landfill, Economic Development, Health Insurance, OSCEMSA and zoning-related bodies. Dan Friedrichsen's assignments include ARPA, County Farm, DECAT, ECI and EMS Advisory.
The minutes list the assignments in full; motions to adopt the roster of assignments were moved by Thomas and seconded by Friedrichsen and recorded as carried by all ayes.
