During public comment, Sarah Lawrenz of Bertram Communications asked how a village board member can sue the village and still sit on the board and whether that constitutes a conflict of interest. Lawrenz had earlier told the board she was frustrated by multiple points of contact on the bandstand project and requested that communications be limited to named village staff and the village president.
Resident Mike SanFelippo reported seeing two boats on Random Lake without a village launch pass (one had a county pass) and asked who is responsible for monitoring passes. A person listed as Blaine Werner asked the board to notify attendees when it returns from closed session to open session; Gary Feider of The Sounder asked whether road projects would interfere with the Random Lake Fire Department parade or the Random Lake Fall Festival.
Trustees did not take action on these public concerns during the meeting; staff were asked to note the questions and consult on appropriate follow-up and clarity on communication procedures.
