Tom Boege, Facilities Capital Project Manager, presented a request to replace approximately 650 square feet of outer lobby flooring at the Pine River Post Office. After testing alternatives, facilities staff concluded that commercial-grade porcelain tile offered the best durability for an area exposed to heavy foot traffic and abrasive materials (salt and sand).
Two quotes were presented: River’s Edge Tiling LLC for $20,820.00 and Lance’s Do All Handyman for $16,560.00. The Board approved the low bid from Lance’s Do All Handyman and authorized the work to be scheduled to reduce disruption to post office operations, with much of the removal and installation planned during the President’s Day weekend closure.
