At the Jan. 12 meeting, the Kay County Excise Board approved a consolidated Cash Fund Estimate of Needs and Requests for Appropriations covering numerous county funds. The motion, made by Chairman Jeff Wilson and seconded by Vice-Chairman Rod Reese, included Highway $367,311.99; district allocations D#1 $121,842.41, D#2 $123,627.18, D#3 $121,842.40; Bond-ST (PBA) $140,303.91; Use Tax total $184,300.90 (County $98,342.97 / PBA $36,860.17 / RFD $36,823.32 / EMS $12,274.44); Sheriff’s Grant Service $300,000.00; and a long list of smaller funds and lapsed-balance items as recorded in the minutes.
Separately, the board approved a Transfer of Appropriations moving $9,700.42 from Sheriff General Maintenance & Operations to Lease Purchase. Both motions were recorded as carried with the three members voting aye.
