Human Services reports recent hires and summer community events

Human Services staff reported they filled five positions since the prior meeting, including one ongoing social worker, two economic support workers starting that week, a CLTS/Birth to Three Manager and one Behavioral Health Therapist. The department is reposting a second Behavioral Health Therapist position and continues recruitment for CLTS support roles and a Behavioral Health Service Facilitator.
Staff also listed upcoming community events: the Farmer's Market Nutrition Program began June 1; World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is June 18; a boating trip on Boom Lake is scheduled for June 26; Recovery Yoga in the Park will run every other Tuesday at 6 p.m.; and a Recovery Picnic is planned for July 31 in partnership with Let's Go Fishing. Ms. Beth Hoerchler said the recovery events "have been really well attended."
