Cleveland also said leadership training opportunities will be coordinated by HR staff member Ashley Ferrell and mentioned that the National Association of Counties (NACo) offers programs, including AI‑focused training options.
Cleveland noted the county’s interest in improving staff proficiency with business analytics and Microsoft 365, saying employees currently use roughly 5% of Microsoft Outlook’s capabilities and that the IT Department has been tasked with increasing proficiency. The board did not take formal action on benefits or training at the meeting; the discussion was recorded as direction for staff follow‑up.
