Board lapses $2.17 million in ARPA funds forward to pay courthouse generator invoices

The Cleveland County Budget Board approved carrying forward $2,166,542.08 from the American Rescue Plan Act (2021) lapsed balances into FY2025 to pay for the Courthouse Generator Project. Minutes state the FY2023–2024 lapsed amount was lapsed into FY25 on Sept. 24, 2024, and that invoices were paid on the original FY2024 purchase order because the purchase order was not closed in FY2024.
The motion was moved and seconded and passed by roll call with all members voting in favor. The minutes include a Clerk’s Note specifying the date the amount was lapsed into FY25 and the purpose (Courthouse Generator Project), which will be reflected in the county’s FY2025 accounting.
No amendments or alternative funding sources were recorded during the meeting.
