Balloon float for proposed wireless tower moved to Monday; commission plans joint presentation and public review

The Town Clerk reported that the applicant for a proposed wireless telecommunications facility has rescheduled the balloon float demonstration to Monday between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. The company will use the float and subsequent drone and photo simulations to show visibility and then arrange a joint meeting with the planning commission and the selectboard.
"The balloon float is not gonna be tomorrow morning. It's gonna be, Monday," the Town Clerk said, and commissioners asked residents to photograph the display from porches and backyards to provide additional evidence to the Public Utilities Commission. The Town Clerk said the company has indicated it moved the tower footprint slightly to avoid a protection zone but has not yet presented formal materials to the town for review.
The commission agreed to attend the joint meeting (tentatively at the old firehouse) and to review the company's full presentation before making any formal compliance determination to submit to the Public Utilities Commission.
