The Chair of the Plymouth Planning Commission on April 17 moved to adopt edits to the commission's enhanced energy plan and to forward the revised document to town staff for publication and further processing. The motion passed by voice vote.
Members praised the plan's disclaimer as a way to prevent misleading comparisons of energy metrics. "I thoroughly enjoyed the disclaimer," the Chair said, adding that the provision helps ensure readers understand limits in the plan's comparisons. Commissioners also supported adding a specific bullet on water conservation and heating efficiency submitted by Anne.
The commission also agreed by consensus to add the plan's opening objectives ' the town's rural and scenic priorities ' to the Plymouth website so visitors can see the planning goals in a prominent place. The commission directed staff to send the revised document to Devin for the next steps.
Next steps: staff will post the updated plan materials on the town website and prepare the town-plan packet for a targeted review ahead of a public hearing expected later in May.
