Board approves steps to apply for FY25 CDBG road replacement grant, approves $300,000 county match and hires Parkhill to prepare application

During a public hearing the Cleveland County commissioners unanimously approved a package of actions to pursue an FY25 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) road replacement project. The board adopted the Citizen's Participation Plan, approved the resolution to apply for the FY25 CDBG grant, approved a leveraged matching funds resolution committing $300,000 from Cleveland County Commissioner District 3, approved a Section 3 Resolution and Plan, adopted a Residential Anti-Displacement Plan, approved the 2025 Fair Housing Proclamation and Resolution, and selected Parkhill to prepare the FY25 CDBG grant application.
Chairman Rod Cleveland opened and closed the public hearing during the meeting. Commissioner Rusty Grissom and Vice-Chairman Jacob McHughes joined Cleveland in recorded unanimous votes on each motion. The board recorded the selection of Parkhill to prepare the application so the county can submit required documentation to pursue CDBG funding for a proposed road replacement project.
Commissioner Grissom also announced that the grant funds approved in the meeting will be used to resurface 120th from Highway 39th to Slaughterville Road. The board took no separate public comment at this meeting and all recorded motions on the CDBG package passed unanimously.
