"Our primary shelter is the community center," the emergency-management official said, describing the community center’s generator and food-preparation capability and explaining the church’s request to be removed as a named alternate. The official also asked whether the board preferred specific personnel names in emergency operating center (EOC) staffing or a designation such as "select board member" for authorization roles; members agreed listing select-board positions or alternates was acceptable.
The board moved to approve the LEMP with the noted changes and approved the mutual-aid agreement contingent on correcting an equipment listing; members authorized Kevin to sign the mutual-aid agreement on the town’s behalf. The mutual-aid form is due May 1, and staff will circulate the corrected document for signature and file it once complete.
