Cleveland County commissioners approve consent docket including ARPA fairgrounds payments

The Cleveland County Board of County Commissioners approved a routine consent docket at its Jan. 21 meeting that included multiple administrative and procurement items. The board recorded unanimous votes to accept the clerk's items, contracts, and invoices listed on the consent agenda.

Among the items approved, the board adopted a formal statement that Cleveland County's federal tax status is "Exempt" under the Internal Revenue Code. The board also approved five invoices from Rees for the Cleveland County Fairgrounds renovation under ARPA Project #1.007 totaling $105,842.63 (invoice amounts of $10,083.65; $10,083.66; $63,022.83; $16,212.49; and $6,440.00). A Dell Marketing L.P. quote for a replacement laptop and docking station for a county employee was approved for $1,320.85, and the board acknowledged Norman Mardi Gras street closures for March 1, 2025, 6:30 p.m.–10:00 p.m.

The board also accepted the December 2024 alcoholic beverage tax allocation totaling $74,777.81 and approved distribution amounts to municipalities (Norman $46,897.68; Moore $23,001.94; Noble $2,558.70; Slaughterville $1,524.96; Lexington $736.29; Etowah $58.24). County Clerk Pam Howlett noted that a clerk's note corrected a receiving officer designation to "Requesting Officer." The motions on the consent docket were moved and seconded and the minutes record the action as "Motion carried."
