Mayor Donita Bowen informed the Toombs County Tax Assessor, Bradley Williamson, that the property the city purchased from Barry Toole is located on Reindeer Street rather than Rudolph Way as currently recorded by the county. Bowen noted county property updates occur annually and the official correction will appear in the January update.
Meeting participant Eddie Wright described plans to restore the building on the lot at U.S. Highway 1 and Reindeer Street 'back as original as possible' using the standing walls of the former tea room/ceramic shop. The council also discussed delinquent water-bill procedures, which Secretary Sue Grisham and the mayor explained to members present.
