Carrie Poulsen, secretary and alternate for the Daggett County Planning and Zoning board, presented a draft Daggett County Water Conservation Plan at the Jan. 20, 2026 work meeting and supplied the board with the 2021 Dutch John Water Preliminary Engineering Report for reference.
Board members asked that several elements from the 2021 engineering report be added to the county plan. County Attorney Kent Snider joined staff in discussing what legislative requirements must be met to adopt a Water Conservation Plan into the Daggett County General Plan and advised on next steps. The board directed Carrie Poulsen and Mr. Snider to implement the requested recommendations and to present a revised draft at the next meeting.
The discussion emphasized aligning the draft plan with the county general plan and with the technical findings in the Dutch John report; no formal vote or adoption occurred at this meeting. The meeting record notes the draft and requested inclusions but leaves the specific list of elements to be added to the upcoming revision, which Carrie Poulsen is to prepare.
