Items on the consent agenda included Resolution #27-05 (amendment to a 28E agreement for Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center participation), a right-of-way contract with GSP Family Farm LLC (Gary Plunkett) for permanent and temporary easements totaling $1,192.82, a service agreement to participate in ISAC’s HIPAA program for $1,750, the FY27 provider agreement with Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center specifying transportation rates ($68.80/hr; matron $48.50/hr), a sheriff’s office mileage fee increase from $0.725 to $0.76 per mile, appointment of Zachary Skelton as Veterans Affairs Director for FY27, award of bid for Emergency Operations Center renovations to GTG Construction for $154,900.00, FY27 vehicle purchase agreement with Ames Ford for two F250 pickups totaling $94,700.00, and award of the 2026 Justice Center resurfacing bid to Des Moines Asphalt and Paving for $207,971.68, among other permits and the special event application listed on the agenda. Lisa Heddens moved and Latifah Faisal seconded the consent agenda; the motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote.
The Board recorded the approvals as part of standard county business; most items were approved without separate discussion during this session. The meeting minutes state that resolutions and signed documents are effective upon signature and available for public inspection at the Story County Administration Building.
