BOCC tours Juvenile Detention Center; facility holds youth from 31 counties

As part of the meeting the Board of County Commissioners conducted the annual tour of the Juvenile Detention Center and received an update on conditions and recent improvements.
The minutes note the facility can hold 10 youth and at the time of the tour was housing four youth who come from 31 counties in the western portion of the state. Officials reported no water leaks from recent rains, new flooring installed in the front portion of the building, two new water fountains, a new shower head and faucets in the restroom, and a courtyard and school area stocked with many books from the state library and Woodward schools.
