Council asks for reduced-scope estimates for Town Hall parking-lot improvements

Police Chief Berry reported that earlier proposals for Town Hall parking-lot improvements were elaborate and costly and asked the Council to consider a reduced-scope project. Council members emphasized ADA compliance, curb construction, parking-space layout and lighting as priorities and asked Chief Berry to bring revised estimates at the reduced scope before the Council considers approval.
Mayor Wallace and Council agreed that staff should return with new quotes before moving ahead, and no construction or contracts were authorized at the meeting.
Staff will solicit revised bids and return cost estimates for Council consideration at a future meeting.
