Huachuca City opens discussion on tiny homes and accessory dwelling units

The packet lists classifying tiny homes as ADUs; lowering side setbacks from 7 feet to 5 feet or 3 feet; and a set of occupancy and design limits including the statement 'Only one ADU per single family lot' and that 'ADUs cannot contain more than one bedroom.' The materials also say ADUs must be accessed from the main street (not an alley), share the same water, sewer and electric service/metering as the primary house, have a separate entrance, meet the primary house’s design standards and that the primary dwelling must meet minimum property/building maintenance standards before an ADU can be approved.

One line in the presented materials reads 'not exceed two' without clarifying what quantity that phrase refers to; the document on the record does not specify whether that number applies to ADU count, bedrooms, or another measure.
