Commissioners approved a change of conditions for Ben and Carol to move and expand an agricultural business building on a 118.05-acre limited-ag parcel at 1827 Northanger Road. Staff reported the Charlotte Fire Department and Eaton County building official had no objections to the reviewed site plan; Carmel Township did not make a decision at its meeting and the commission noted that if approvals occur after June 30 an intergovernmental referral may be required because Eaton Township assumed local planning authority.
Applicants said the proposed retail operation will sell prebagged feed and would not mix feed on-site; proposed construction includes a connected structure with an overall footprint of about 13,200 square feet. Commissioners approved the application, with staff advising the applicants to get sealed drawings to meet potential timeline constraints for township referrals if needed.
