Staff told the commission the Public Works and Human Services Committee directed the Planning Commission to hold a public hearing on Oct. 28 at 6:00 p.m. to receive public input on a proposal to rescind the county zoning ordinance in its entirety.
Commissioners noted they expected public turnout and that township officials may speak during public comment; staff said the planning commission will make a recommendation to Public Works and Human Services, which in turn reports to the Board of Commissioners. The commission then approved its 2026 meeting schedule by voice vote.
