Jeff gave the board a verbal DPW update, reporting crews completed ditching on Lehi and work on Aspen and installed culverts on West Pagamo and Porridge Shore. “The verbal report is things are moving along, with the ditching projects; we got that problematic spot on Lehi done last week,” Jeff said, describing the recent field work.
Jeff also raised operational questions: an old metal culvert was heavily silted and partly crushed, creating disposal challenges, and the DPW is evaluating options (dumpsters, scrap yard acceptance) for metal and plastic pipe pieces. Commissioners discussed outfitting the new truck (signage from Gemini) and whether to install new digital radios or reuse older analog units; they agreed Jeff should collect price estimates and follow up.
