Watonwan SWCD hears staff reports, will host MASWCD Area VI meeting in June

The Watonwan Soil & Water Conservation District board received updates from Chairman Rich Enger and Carrie Schultz on Greater Blue Earth River Basin Alliance (GBERBA) activities and noted the district will host Minnesota Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (MASWCD) Area VI on June 25, 2026 at South Central Cooperative. Several agency reports were listed as 'No Report.'
District staff provided verbal updates: district technicians, soil health staff and the Farm Bill Biologist reported verbally; the PF Precision Ag position remains vacant. The board approved the schedule of upcoming meetings as presented (motion by Bret Braaten; second by Matt Wolle) and recorded unanimous approval.
