The Page County Board of Supervisors adopted a Resolution declaring a local emergency that had been proclaimed on Jan. 25, 2026, citing winter weather and the possibility of an electrical grid shutdown.
County Administrator Amity Moler presented the resolution and explained that "in order to be reimbursed the County must declare a local emergency." The resolution text states, "Due to the winter weather and possibility of an electrical grid shutdown, Page County is facing dangerous conditions." The document also notes that, because of urgent conditions, the County Administrator and the Emergency Services Coordinator have authority to declare a local emergency until the Board can convene to act. The Board adopted the resolution by a 6-0 vote.
