The committee voted unanimously to direct staff to revise the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) governing Ozaukee County 4‑H use of the county fairgrounds and to postpone final action until the Feb. 20, 2025 meeting. The motion was moved by Vice‑Chair T. Grabow and seconded by Supervisor T. Bichler.
Public Work Director Edgren summarized that the 4‑H is the most significant recurring user of the fairgrounds under the current five‑year agreement (2021–2025). UW‑Extension is seeking revisions to improve the reservation process, ensure event clean‑up, and adjust some fees. Sales & Marketing Coordinator Alexander proposed adding a "separate line‑item rate for shows" to cover additional county costs for setup and cleanup related to horse shows. The minutes record that staff will prepare an updated MOU reflecting the suggested changes and present it to the committee at its February meeting.
