The Commission unanimously approved a proclamation recognizing the public service of Milton 'Wade' Coleman, who died April 7, 2025. The resolution notes Coleman was born Nov. 21, 1938, served as mayor of the City of Cusseta at age 21, later served on the city council and as a county commissioner from 2001 to 2006.
Chairman Charles Coffey said the board would display the plaque for public viewing since Coleman’s family did not attend the meeting to accept it. The proclamation text and formal motion are recorded in the meeting minutes.
