The Board of Commissioners approved a slate of administrative motions at its Jan. 7 meeting, including the appointment of Linda Englebert to the Cusseta–Chattahoochee County Library Board and the renewal of planning and zoning contract arrangements.
The board unanimously approved the resolution appointing Linda Englebert to the library board for a term through Dec. 31, 2027 (the resolution text appears in the meeting packet). Commissioners also approved a planning and zoning technical assistance arrangement with the River Valley Regional Commission at an annual fee of $6,000, which covers ordinance review, staff reports and map maintenance.
Separately, the board approved an attorney rate increase and reviewed an engagement letter from Clark Hill (the county’s outside counsel). For the county-attorney engagement, Clark Hill’s materials list the firm’s standard hourly ranges; A. Binford Minter’s standard hourly rate is listed at $325 per hour in the engagement letter included in the packet. The board’s vote to approve a rate increase was recorded as unanimous.
Commissioners also authorized Ingram Engineering as the CDBG engineer and approved a letter of agreement with the River Valley Regional Commission to assist with the FY2025 CDBG application. The meeting packet notes application fees: $750 for a new application; $500 for a rewrite.
