County approves data-sharing MOU to help determine Medicaid eligibility for incarcerated individuals

The Clermont County Board of County Commissioners executed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Clermont County Department of Job and Family Services and the Clermont County Sheriff's Office (on behalf of the jail) to enable collection, analysis and sharing of data to determine Medicaid eligibility for inmates.
The county said the MOU is intended to help departing inmates access appropriate medical, mental health and substance use disorder services upon release and to potentially reduce recidivism. The agreement is effective 06/01/2025 through 05/31/2026 and was executed at no cost to Clermont County.
