The Board approved Amendment Number One to the Memorandum of Agreement among the Clermont County Sheriff, the Board of County Commissioners, and the Clermont County Department of Job and Family Services to expand scheduled security at the Clermont Family Support Center, located at 2400 Clermont Center Drive in Batavia. The amendment increases the number of Deputy Sheriffs assigned from one to three, adds personnel costs for the additional deputies, authorizes evening hours by request, and provides that the Board retain ownership of equipment supplied by the Sheriff.
The amendment sets the Department of Job and Family Services (DJFS) as financially responsible for 70% of the total monthly costs for the first and second deputies and 100% for the total monthly costs for the third deputy. The amendment is effective 03/31/2025 through 02/28/2027 and is contingent upon the release of the required purchase order. The motion to execute the amendment was moved by Commissioner Corcoran, seconded by Commissioner Painter, and approved by roll call.
