Clermont County moves into flood recovery; public assistance assessment underway

Pam Haverkos, Director of the Clermont County Emergency Management Agency, told the Board of County Commissioners on April 14 that the county has moved into the recovery phase following recent flooding and that a Public Assistance Preliminary Damage Assessment is underway.
Haverkos said donations are being coordinated at the First Baptist Church of New Richmond and that financial contributions can be made through Park National Bank and Connect Clermont. She listed four disaster recovery organizations actively assisting residents — American Regulators, Crossroads Master of Disasters, Southern Baptist, and Team Rubicon — and noted the county is collecting information to seek public assistance reimbursements; at the time of the meeting, the threshold for the Individual Assistance program had not been met. Commissioner Painter and Commissioner Batchler both thanked emergency staff and volunteers for their work.
