"I would say about 90% of that is from the student feedback," Johnson said of the draft language she shared with the board. She described the committee's process — surveying interested students, reviewing report‑card metrics across districts and compiling handouts — and said the goal is a shorter, clearer handbook section described as "dressing for learning." Johnson invited trustees to review the draft handbook language and provide feedback during the August handbook approval process.
Doctor White added that the handbook updates (including the dress code and phone policy alignment) will be included in the student handbooks trustees will approve in August. The board thanked the student participants and staff who guided the work.
