The county opened bids for a replacement Emergency Management Agency vehicle on Nov. 5. Bids included: O'Connor Chevrolet, 2026 GMC Sierra 1500 for $49,390 (trade $14,000); Hight Chevrolet, 2026 Silverado 1500 for $49,196 (trade $12,355); Hight Ford, 2026 Ford F150 XL for $46,821 (trade $12,000); and a 2026 Ford F150 POL PKG for $49,075 (trade $12,000). EMA Director Mike Smith will review the bids and present a recommendation at the next meeting.
Commissioner John Alsop questioned whether replacing the current 2019 Ford Expedition—reported to have under 60,000 miles—was necessary at this time. The EMA Director and staff will evaluate bids and vehicle condition before bringing a recommendation to the commission.
