Somerset County staff recommend extending two U/T road contracts, bid third; RFP for Lexington snow removal authorized

U/T Coordinator David Spencer told the commissioners he is preparing figures for the Unorganized Territory budget and has been in contact with contractors who provide snow removal services. Spencer and U/T Road Commissioner Phil Curtis recommended extending two of the current contracts and putting the third contract out to bid.
Separately, the commission authorized an RFP for snow removal in Lexington Township (Resolution 25-163). The motion to authorize the RFP was made by Commissioner John Alsop, seconded by Commissioner Joel Stetkis, and carried 4-0. The actions indicate staff will proceed with procurement and incorporate the results into U/T budget planning.
