Medicaid Redesign presentation on hold; CSB schedules youth services update for spring and full presentation in June

During the Feb. 2 Programming Committee meeting, staff member Ivy Sager told the committee that the Medicaid Redesign initiative, originally slated to take effect on July 1, 2026, may be delayed at least six months and possibly a full year while the General Assembly considers the timeline.
Committee members agreed to postpone a detailed Medicaid Redesign presentation until more information is available, suggesting Fall 2026 or early 2027 as potential windows. Separately, Bret Schardein said that Board of Supervisors member Ryan M. Hudson requested a youth services presentation this spring and suggested the Board meet at the Bell Creek location; the committee agreed to an April update on the school-based program and to plan a full youth services presentation in June.
No firm dates for a Medicaid Redesign briefing were set; the committee will schedule that presentation when state-level timing is clearer.
