CSB staff say $600,000 Marcus Alert funds held pending DBHDS approval; $200,000 for DD support to be treated as offsetting revenue

Ivy Sager, a Community Services staff member, told the Finance & Oversight Committee that county staff worked with the County Finance office to review new FY26 funding and determined “none need action by the Board of Supervisors at this time.”
Bernie Jordan, also a staff member, and Ms. Sager said the transcript identifies two specific allocations: $200,000 related to DD Support Coordination will be handled as offsetting revenue, and $600,000 for the Marcus Alert program is currently in a holding account until the proposed spending plan submitted to DBHDS is approved. The staff update noted that once DBHDS approves the plan, staff will proceed with necessary steps, including seeking Board of Supervisors action to allocate the funding within the CSB budget.
