Staff says county will review capacity before adding municipalities to zoning jurisdiction

"Our our 1st 11 townships will come 1st and foremost," the staff member said, adding the county would need to review staffing and service allocations before bringing new jurisdictions into the county zoning program. The consultant (S5) also referenced a fee-for-service model the department is exploring as a mechanism to provide sustainability for the county planning and zoning department.
The commission did not take final action on staffing or intergovernmental agreements during the meeting; staff indicated those operational decisions will be evaluated as part of the implementation process.
