He noted that the county charter assigns appointment of the county attorney to the commission.
Chairman Coffey and commissioners discussed whether an annual vote was required; Minter said the charter provision does not require an annual reappointment but recommended a vote in light of the changed firm affiliation. The board added the attorney rate increase and engagement letter to the agenda as a voting item to be considered at the next regular meeting.
