Huntsville work session wraps after lengthy discussion; committee to bring rules and quarterly reports

The Huntsville Town work session closed at 7:37 p.m. after extended conversation among council and Building Committee members about the building's name/logo, floor surface and draft fee schedule. TCM Bruce Ahlstrom moved to adjourn and TCM Artie Powell seconded; all votes were recorded as "Aye." The session included public attendees and discussion of several attachments including the RAMP agreement, application materials, and local market comparisons.
Council members asked the Building Committee to produce a formal rulebook and a fee resolution for consideration at the next Town Council meeting and accepted a plan for quarterly operational reports from the building manager, Rex Harris. Treasurer Melissa Knowles emailed the council during the day reminding members that fees must be reviewed periodically to remain in compliance with state law. The Town did not vote on the draft fee resolution during the work session.
