City staff reported on two Planning & Environmental Quality Commission recommendations July 28: a proposed zone text amendment for mechanical and robotic parking structures (ZTA 3-26; PC resolution PC 9-26, adopted 5-0) and a proposed amendment to the municipal code on accessory dwelling units and junior ADUs (ZTA 2-26; PC resolution PC 10-26, adopted 5-0).
The city manager told council these were recommendations and that council would review both ordinances at a future meeting; no council action was required at the July 28 session. Staff noted the commission’s votes were unanimous (5-0) when forwarding its recommendations.
Both items will come back to the council for formal consideration and possible ordinance adoption at a later date.
