Bridal said the strategy is designed to leverage school choice at traditional entry points (K, 6, and 9) without negatively affecting class size. Committee members asked whether exceptions would be made for families moving in midyear; staff replied that applications are considered per child and that the approved caps are firm once set.
The motion to accept the school-choice numbers was moved, seconded and passed by verbal 'Aye' votes. Staff will implement the announced caps and publish the official choice application guidance.
