Superintendent Mark Bracco and business manager June Ciafilippo reviewed October 1 enrollment data and noted the district is at 654 total students. Ciafilippo explained that October 1 counts are used for planning and that NASDAC projections (based on births and housing data) provide longer-term context; she said the district’s current enrollment sits slightly above NASDAC’s projection for this year.
Committee members were reminded that in a small district a difference of a few students can change percentage measures and circuit-breaker reimbursements. The business manager said she will return with periodic enrollment updates during the year and the district will use the most up-to-date numbers available for the budget process.
