The Grayson County Board of Supervisors voted April 9 to direct the Planning Commission to initiate a review and revision of the county Subdivision Ordinance to implement changes resulting from the 2025 General Assembly.
Director of Planning and Community Development Jada Black told the Board the updates are needed to comply with Chapter 100 of the 2025 Acts (HB2660) and Chapter 594 (SB974), which affect site-plan and subdivision approval authority and timeframes for reviewing plats and plans. The Board adopted a resolution of intent and directed staff to prepare draft amendments and schedule public hearings; the motion carried 5-0.
Planning staff will prepare draft ordinance language for notice, public hearing, Planning Commission recommendation, and subsequent Board action.
