Clermont County redirects CDBG funds to public-art and Grant Museum statue; Newtonsville sewer allocation removed

The amendment rescinded $100,000 from the Newtonsville Sewer Connection Program (setting that allocation to $0), allocated $77,000 to a Grant Museum statue through the Clermont County Port Authority, and allocated $53,000 to America 250 historical art murals through the Clermont County Convention & Visitor’s Bureau.
During discussion Commissioner David L. Painter asked Mr. Bloom about Newtonsville sewer progress; according to the transcript Mr. Bloom said the system is operating at roughly 50% capacity. Commissioner Painter also thanked Commissioner Claire B. Corcoran for work on the America 250 project and the Grant statue. The Board approved the amendment by unanimous roll call vote.
